It's been a good whole year since I've been here on deviantART and in that time more things than one have changed.
Mostly me.
And as I am the artist, everything else kind of followed suit I guess.
Well I'm fifteen now, and almost sixteen. Yikes. I want to know why my childhood is slipping by so fast.
Here's a quick update on my life's pursuits:

Music:
I learned how to play guitar! I'll tell you, guitar is nothing like piano. I've been throwing chords and words together and I'm even hoping to tie off a couple songs in the imminent future. Hopefully I'll follow through on this one. *crosses fingers*

Blog:
I'm also starting a blog, the purpose of which will be to share with you all my DIY projects and just post my thoughts and reflections. I'll post the link as soon as I've finished polishing it up. I think yall are gonna like it(:

Photography:
Because of school, I haven't been able to take many photos, but if you check your Deviation Stacks and look for my name you can go through some older photos of this past summer that I've been uploading. Soon. SOON. I will have a DSLR of my own...instead of that dinky little point and shoot I still fumble around with.
(I still dearly love my dinky little point and shoot)

Drawing/Painting:
I don't paint much, but I really do enjoy it. I plan on whipping up a few watercolors this year just for fun. As for drawing, I still doodle all over my homework and commit myself to the occasional drawing. I've had, of recent, a lapse of inspiration however, and I have to say that although I've been sketching, you'll find that most of my drawings are of a certain boy. Like I said, lack of inspiration haha.

Because I will be a Junior next year, I've been thinking a bit about my life and my future.
I have NO idea what I want to do. :l
I know that I could never sit in an office and wear a business suit and calculate numbers for the rest of my life.
Buuut I don't entirely relish the thought of settling as a starving artist either.
I've decided to just simply stay open in my mind and my talents.
Ephesians 2:10 says... "For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."
That verse just totally puts my mind to rest. I don't have to worry about how my life will turn out because God already has a plan for me. All I have to do is listen and allow him to open the doors. With his help, I will walk through them and live the life he has for me. I know he's given me these talents for some reason. Until he lets me understand his reason, I'll follow him blindly with my whole heart. I trust the plans he has for me.
So all this... deviantART, music, blogs... this is me using the talents I've been blessed with to the best of my ability. So that God might get the glory and I get the joy of serving my King(:
